Tym razem o barwieńcach z rodziny kąsaczowatych w moim RIO 180.
HYPHESSOBRYCON MEGALOPTERUS (wcześniej MEGALAMPHODUS MEGALOPTERUS), Barwieniec czarny. Ryba pochodząca z pogranicza Brazylii i Boliwii, dorasta do 4,5 cm. Ciało tych piękności jest mocno bocznie spłaszczone. Jest rybą środkowej strefy wody. Samce są mniejsze, mają ciało koloru dymno-szarego, pięknie stroszą okazałe płetwy grzbietową i odbytową. Nad płetwą piersiową dumnie noszą czarną plamę, w metalicznie niebiesko lśniącej obwódce, jak broszkę paradną. Ciało samicy ma różowawy nalot, a płetwy brzuszną i odbytową czerwone. Ryba z charakteru spokojna i stadna. W moim akwarium z przyjemnością patrzę na jej subtelne, wręcz dostojne zachowanie.
HYPHESSOBRYCON SWEGLESI, Barwieniec czerwony. Polecana i obecna w wielu akwariach roślinnych T. Amano. Ryba pochodząca z Kolumbii, ciało ma bocznie spłaszczone, długości do 4 cm. Ryba ławicowa, preferująca środkowe i dolne strefy wody. Wybarwienie tych ryb to stonowana czerwień, ale jakże piękniejsza w akwarium od ich barwy ?sklepowej?. Samiec jest mniejszy, a jego dłuższa płetwa grzbietowa ma białe zakończenie. Nad płetwami piersiowymi w okolicach barku, ryby te mają czarną plamę (samica bardziej okrągłą). Ryba preferuje przydenną i środkową strefę wody. Ryba spokojna i ławicowa, skora do zabawowo wyglądających, krótkotrwałych utarczek. Ryba delikatna i wymagająca przemyślanego doboru towarzystwa innych ryb w zbiorniku. Dla nieej musiałem odławiać i oddać 5 sztuk pięknych Promieniczek (T. Ladigesi), a potem nawet dwie pary Gupika Endlera, które jak śmigające ?szturowce? rozbijały i obijały mi barwieńce.
Przedstawiam swoje obserwacje zachowań obydwu barwieńców w moim akwarium, gdyż wg mnie łączy ich wiele wspólnego. Preferują wodę miękką i raczej kwaśną, dobrze natlenioną. Pokarm suchy tak samo chętnie pobierają, a karmię głównie Hikarii Micro Pelets i Micro Wafers. Lubią swoje towarzystwo, wspólnie dzielą rejon kryjówek oraz podobnie lubią pływać - swobodnie wzdłuż całej szerokości akwarium. W tym wspólnym dzieleniu się wodą Barwieniec czarny częściej obiera pozycję dominującą, a czerwony więcej pływa. Ryby wymagające, a nawet H. Sweglesi zaliczany jest do ryb delikatnych. W moim akwarium mam je od dwóch lat. Widocznie jest im nieźle, skoro są wyrośnięte, żywe, nie chorują (poza jednym przypadkiem, myślę na skutek podanej nadmiernej ilości kobaltosanu) i zgodnie ze swymi cechami są w pełni wybarwione. Polecam je do wszystkich akwariów roślinnych powyżej 100 l (stadne, ławicowe) tym akwarystom, którzy preferują klasyczne stonowane piękno. Te piękne ryby zawsze subtelnie dopełnią aranżację każdego akwarium oraz harmonijnie ją wybarwią.
